i felt like a kid again...

yesturday was the most fun day i've had in a long time. i played dress-up with my friend crystal. we were trying out our old fancy dresses for faye's princess tea party coming up. it was fun pulling out my old bridesmaid dresses and "the blue dress" that i used to wear in college. i found tierra's fancy dress from my wedding and it fits faye perfectly! she will look like cinderella at her tea party.

later, i felt like a kid again when i looked outside and saw all my friends. i hurried and finished my "chores" and so i could go outside to play. i made pizzas and took them outside to share with the neighbors and all the kids running around. britany made hemp jewelry for everyone and the kids ran around, played, and laughed. it started to get dark and crystal put her kids to bed and came back out to play. britany brought out glow bracelets for everyone and the kids ran around on the grass. it started getting windy and ammon said, "it's windy! let's fly the eye-ball kite!" he has been waiting for some wind. it was dark so britany suggested we fly it with a glow stick on it. so we did! it was fun having all the neighbor kids running around in the dark with their glow sticks and laying on the grassy hill to watch the kite high up in the sky.

so it has now been suggested that we put our kids to bed one night then head outstide to play night games... oh, it takes me back!

The kids sure did a lot of "running around" It reminds me of when Ryan's mom and Murrell were married and lived in Logan. The neighbor friends would all put their kids to bed and then head out for pepsi's (just to the convenience store and back - but still - you couldn't do that now days) How fun it is to still be able to "play with friends" - one of the perks of being a stay-at-home-mom!

That wind storm was pretty crazy, Wellington's kiddie pool went from the back porch to the end of our parking lot, then the canopy part that goes with it was across the street and two cul-de-sac's down...

I see you guys out there a lot and wonder, how you get everything done? I need to take some lessons...
